Alaska!
Today's marathon was wonderful! The weather was surprisingly cool and and it rained most of the run, but the temperature actually felt fantastic! The course started 26.2 miles out of town on a gravel road and came back to town. It turned to pavement after about 14, and the surroundings have been spectacular. I finished strong and got a solid top 10 finish! Granted I don't think there were more than 15 people in the race. All our flight connections went perfectly yesterday, and after a good dinner, and a wonderful rest last night we're off again. We're taking the "milk run" flight from Cordova to Seattle now which stops several times along the way, dotting along Alaska- should be interesting. No wild bear sitings, but we sure did do our best on searching. Hope you all are well and having a great weekend!
